The story of two children who are abandoned by their parents in a time of famine. Lost in the depths of a forest, they think they found rescue when they discover a house made of food. They soon discover that it is the home of a witch, who has sinister designs on them.

The drama and tension of their situation is enhanced in this production by an original music score and by the shadow puppets which augment the cast. The triumph of the children and their reconciliation with their parents, makes this a truly uplifting tale for Christmas.
